Biography:
Mr. Frederick R. Reynolds is buried near his daughter in Ellsworth Cemetery in Westminster, Maryland.
Born in 1860, Mr. Reynolds was the son of Mr. Oliver and Caroline (Johnson) Reynolds. He had at least one sister. They lived in Carroll County, although have not been found in any of the censuses yet.
From what we have been able to find in other records, we know that he married Ms. Narcissus McCudy about 1890. The couple had two children. Mr. Reynolds worked for Judge Henry M. Clabaugh, who was the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of DC (now a District Court) and later the Attorney General of Maryland.
Mr. Reynolds died in the fall of 1907, of tuberculosis. He is buried in Ellsworth Cemetery in Westminster, Maryland. He shares his headstone with his daughter. It is likely the headstone was only installed after her death, as the inscribed year of death is 1908. His death certificate and obituary both confirm his year of death as 1907.
